Incorporating innovative and patented air-cooling technology, PowerStack ensures uniform cooling of all cells, enhancing cycle life and reliability. The system is type-approved by leading classification societies, including, DNV.
Scalable and Safe Flexibility
PowerStack provides a modular battery design that can be configured to meet various power storage requirements. By arranging modular units in strings of up to 1,230 VDC, the system can scale from a few kWh to several MWh. Each unit includes an integrated Battery Management System (BMS), gas exhaust, and pre-charge functionality. A battery cluster comprising up to 16 battery strings and one control cabinet can deliver a capacity of 2.2 MWh, optimizing the use of battery room space.
Utilizing Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery cells, PowerStack ensures the highest safety standards. The BMS continuously monitors cells, modules, and strings, guaranteeing safe operation. LFP chemistry is inherently safe, as it does not catch fire during thermal runaway, short-circuit, or mechanical damage, making PowerStack an ideal solution for maritime applications where safety is paramount.
